This summer I will be spending 2 weeks at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts. It is my first time at Haystack, but it has been a dream of mine for many, many years. Two summers ago, I spent a month at Watershed in Newcastle, Maine and have been itching to get back to that part of the country since. The topic for the workshop is “Pinching and Playing”. We will be exploring vessels and sculpture using pinching and coiling as our main method of work. Feel free to come and mess around. Don’t feel you need a strong skill base, we will work together on figuring out the myriad of ways you can use such a simple technique. All skill levels are welcome to attend this workshop.
The workshop runs June 9th - 21st and is in Haystacks 1st Summer Session.
